Hi and welcome to another episode of #ASK THE AGENT, a place where you can ask me anything about modelling or the fashion industry.
In case you don't know, I've been in the modelling and fashion industries for over 29 years (I started out as a model in 1985). For the last 16 of those 29 years, I've been a model agent working for the likes of CLYNE and 62 MODELS until in 2005, I co-founded my own agency in Red11 Models. I left Red11 in December '13, and no longer represent or manage their people. But I'm scouting models and talent of my own and have people placed with 62 & UNIQUE Models. So watch this space!

Today, I talk about what does commercial modelling mean?
Q: I approached an agency who said I'd be good for fashion but not commercial modelling. They said they'll wait and see at the end of the year when I need to apply again. What does commercial modelling mean and why won’t they take me on? -Really Want To Model
A: Hi Really Want To Model,
First of all, thanks for writing in. That's a really good question. I looked at your pictures and I can understand why the agency want to check back in with you. You have a great look. What I’m going to do is use my trusty whiteboard to explain the different types of modeling and what it means.
